Responsibilities:

Working as a Lab Chemist, in Sheet fed UV offset ink in Chennai (Feb 2019 to Jan 2020)

Job Functions:

•Responsible for providing ink chemistry to all Sheet fed offset, UV offset & Narrow web Customers in Southern Region where ever needed.

•Able to trouble-shoot and problem-solve ink application issues on press.Preparing color for press operators,

•Setting up printing press and keeping adequate quantities of ink on hand between runs to avoid color change.

•Managing, checking, and cataloging all outgoing and incoming ink stock for quality assurance.

•Visiting to the customer places to attend the complaints related to the inks.

•Color matching of special colors as per the customer requirements as per the Pantone Guide, Wet ink sample or Printed specimen

•Visit to the customer places for every new job trial runs for the fine tuning in shades.

•Frequently coordinating with the customers through telephone regarding the Runnability & Printability of the inks while production.

•Maintain the work-off ink program. Assist Press Operators with color contamination. Organize and maintain control the ink room inventory daily.

•Furnish monthly activity report to managers on all activities, including total number of batches, color matches downtime. Review production schedule to determine ink requirements for day to day operations.

•Diagnosing any ink related issues and providing corrective action solutions in a timely manner.

•Responsible of setting up new in-plants with providing Dispenser and X-rite or Gretag Macbeth training to cut the time and cost.

•Offset and letter press ink.24 X 7 on standby to provide customer and technical support to avoid downtime and keep the production smooth.

•Responsible of writing and implementing SOPs.

•Coordinated high levels of quality control, detailed troubleshooting with focus on customer satisfaction in working with Conventional offset UV flexo inks as well as UV Offset and letter press.

•Great experience in color matching in a very fast pace work place.

•Coordinated high level management with great responsibilities by maintaining all the equipments properly working and managing the whole staff.
