PROJECT SYNOPSIS:
Legal and compliance is the process or procedure to ensure that an organization follows relevant laws, regulations and business rules. The role of legal compliance has also been expanded to include self-monitoring the non-governed behavior with industries and corporations that could lead to workplace indiscretions.
Morgan Stanley maintains the legal and compliance rules using by sets of applications. Applications are categorized into 4 Parts. CTS, AML, GWMG and real time screening applications:- OFAC, GFC, FPS, EPS. CTS is Compliance Trade Surveillance, AML deals with Anti money Laundering, GWMG is Global Wealth Management group which deals with Retail data and OFAC,GFC,EPS and FPS is for high end compliance officers.
Compliance Technologies Solution assures that the organization is complying with the guidelines laid down by the governing body. It is responsible of identifying suspicious trades which was done on last business day and report it for review and if required then take necessary actions on suspicious trades. TSR is a application which is mainly designed to generate the trade alerts report.
Anti Money Laundry is a set of procedures, laws or regulations designed to stop the practice of generating income through illegal actions. In most cases money launderers hide their actions through a series of steps that make it look like money coming from illegal or unethical sources was earned legitimately.
Objective:
Legal and Compliance Applications Management is a Production support project, which provides 24/7 support for the applications which is used by clients to process their orders, trades and review the trade alerts. We are providing application support using by the tools. We also work on solving program errors and user issues. We supported multiple applications for maintain the rules in legal and compliance.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Being single point of contact handling team, shift and Outages.
Work on job failure incidents, service-requests and user requests.
Involve in Incident management, Problem management, Change management, Service improvement, Pre- and post-implementation support, Stakeholder Management.
Maintaining Team management activities like Shift Rota, Cab Rota for team members.
Runs weekly or monthly stability calls with clients.
Responsible for the on boarding of new client applications onto the platform and will need to perform this end to end.
Act as Subject Matter Expert (SME) on the critical applications.
Root cause analysis of recurring and high impact issues.
Involved to create knowledge-based documents.

PROJECT SYNOPSIS:
Herald is one of the reporting systems under Global Transactional Reporting and handles reporting for the Over The Counter (OTC) derivatives, stocks that are traded via a dealer networks (unlisted derivatives) as opposed to a centralized exchange (listed derivatives), that are handled by the other GTR reporting system RDRS. Exchanges are a centralized and regulated market where securities are traded in a safe and standardized and publicly transparent manner. On the other hand, OTC derivatives are less publicly transparent since prices are not disclosed publicly until after the trade is complete.
Herald is a purpose built reporting application sitting between MS and the DTCC, a Global Trade Repository (GTR). The reports sent to the DTCC are either successfully acknowledged (Acked) or negatively acknowledged (Naked) in which case exceptions are raised. Thus, Herald acts as a control framework to capture these exceptions and ensure the information being sent to the DTCC and the information that MS is receiving back is as accurate and timely as possible.
