I did one year of rotatory internship in the hospital attached to Tirunelveli Medical College. It is a 1200 bedded multi-specialty hospital. This included structured training program in medicine, surgery, orthopedic surgery, ophthalmology, otorhinolaryngology, obstetrics & gynecology, community medicine, pediatrics and elective training in dermatology & plastic surgery.

Post-graduate resident clinical training:

Junior resident : JULY 2006 - JUNE 2009

-Basic skills for administration of safe anesthesia

-Complete perioperative anesthetic management of patients under supervision of Senior Residents.

-The weekly on-call duties in the emergency theatres were valuable in gaining experience in the management of patients with polytrauma, head injuries and surgical emergencies.

-The obstetrics weekly on-call duty, lasting for a period of one year, required providing anaesthesia services for both emergency and elective caesarean sections. Labour analgesia was also a part of the services provided.

Intensive Care Training:

Twelve-bedded adult ICU of PGIMER, Chandigarh provides comprehensive training in critical care medicine. Six months work experience in management of varieties of cases in ICU which includes, Traumatic Brain Injury, ALI/ARDS, Septic shock, Blunt Trauma Chest, OPC poisoning, Snake bite, LGBS, Myasthenia Gravis, critically ill postoperative patients and medical emergencies. We had three months of exclusive experience in management of severe tetanus patients and their rehabilitation.

Chettinad Hospital and Research Institute (CHRI),IT Highway,Kelambakkam.Chennai, India; One of the best institutes with 1600 bed teaching hospital, currently it is equipped with state of art infrastructure and considered a tertiary care centre with referrals from several healthcare systems. It has a well equipped 76 bedded Intensive Care Units catering to varied disciplines, currently I am managing a 14 bedded ICU which deals with medical, surgical and trauma and neuro trauma cases as a team.
