●Participated in teams at all stages of product design, from inception and planning to design, test, production, customer interface, issue handling/resolution.

●Conducted or supported product testing at bench, production, environmental, and agency compliance levels.

●Well versed in creating, reading, and interpreting schematics (Cadence), BOM, CAD Drawings to component level.

●Worked side by side with PCB designers to optimize component placement and trace routing.

●Can create written documentation and reports for many engineering topics (Theory of Operation, Test Procedure, Test Process, User’s Manual, etc.).

●Experienced with Oscilloscopes, Spectrum Analyzers, DVMs, Signal Generators, Logic Analyzers, etc.

●Comfortable working as part of a diverse, multi-national product design team.

●Working with software engineers to troubleshoot and refine functional, algorithm, and code performance.

●Created FPGA firmware using VHDL (Altera, Quartus II)

●Worked on site at customer and partner locations for installation, testing, and support.

●Worked on a large cross-functional team to design and build HDTV projector, compiled comprehensive engineering specification document.

●Some PCB designs used I2C and/or RS-232 serial busses.

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

LG Electronics USA Inc., Lincolnshire, IL January 2001-June 2019
