My final year project was completed at Chennai Petroleum Corporation Limited (CPCL). Under the supervision Mr. P. Balachandran, the project topic is “Enhancing the recovery of LPG from the Product of Crude Oil Distillate”. By changing the Reid Vapor Pressure values, one can obtain a higher yield. But that lead to difference in the dimensions of the column leading to instability. Thus I worked on increasing the yield of LPG while maintaining the stability of the plant. Along I had worked out material and energy balances in order to estimate the payback period of the plant with the calculated designs.

Participated in one day workshop on CHEMINFORMATICS conducted by Biozone Research Technologies Pvt. Ltd.

Attended Distributed control system (DCS) overview training conducted by Yokogawa Technical School.

IN-PLANT TRAINING

Attended an In-plant training at Bharatiya Nabhikiya Vidyut Nigam (BHAVINI) Ltd, Kalpakkam (29/05/2017 to06/06/2017).
