1. Segmentation and feature extraction of h-alpha solar images observed from Kodaikanal solar observatory.

Software/ Hardware used: MATLAB v.2017, ImageJ tool, H-alpha solar telescope

Objective: to extract the features of the Sun such as filaments in order to estimate the temperature and weather conditions.

2. Implementation of median filter for image denoising using VHDL.

Software used: Xilinx ISE design 14.5, MATLAB v.2012

Objective: In order to eliminate the noise in the image. 3. Implementation of sobel operator for edge detection in Image using VHDL.

Software used: Xilinx ISE design 14.5, MATLAB v.2012

Objective : In order to detect the edges in the image which is used for image segmentation.
