Why I Chose Pharmacy

As long as I can remember, I have always had a passion for helping others. In addition, I also have a drive to help improve the current healthcare status. I believe that pharmacists are positioned to make the biggest impact in the healthcare field based on our expertise and our reach in the community. Consequently, I strive to maximize my opportunity to do my fair share to help our nation’s healthcare system become a model for the rest of the world to follow.

Career Objectives

While I have held positions of Staff Pharmacist and Pharmacy Manager positions with Walmart, my interest lies in utilizing the clinical skills I acquired from my Doctor of Pharmacy degree. Consequently, after paying off my student loans, I transitioned to a clinical position with the University Medical Center of El Paso to further enhance and maintain my clinical skills. I am a self-motivated and dependable worker and believe I will be an asset to your institution. My vision and passion for the field of pharmacy ensures that I will provide the best service to the patients I serve while maintaining a professional and welcoming attitude towards my fellow employees. In addition, as a pharmacy preceptor, I will also be able to help foster our future pharmacists professionally. I hope for the opportunity to bring what I have to offer to your hospital while continuing my clinical growth.
