Electrical Engineer with experience in hardware assembly and embedded systems seeking new opportunities. Education
University of Massachusetts Amherst Class of 2018
Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering
Relevant Coursework
Photonics, Optoelectronics, Microelectronic Fabrication, Signals & Systems, Semiconductor Materials, Computer Systems Lab (Embedded Systems), Fields & Waves (Electromagnetics), Complex Analysis, Antenna Propagation & Design, Nanoelectronics
Work Experience
Electrical Engineer, Dermal Photonics Corporation January 2019 to September 2019
● Performed software verification and validation using a broad range of tests
● Tested device parameters with a wide range of tools including oscilloscopes, power meters, volt/ammeters, laser test paper, etc.
● Performed tests under protocol to satisfy FDA medical device requirements.
● Prepared device documentation to be sent to the FDA and manufacturers
● Documented product issues and provided solutions
● Executed and optimized assembly process of skincare laser, decreasing production time across the board
● Drafted, designed and ordered PCB for UV curing process
● Assisted mechanical engineers in PFMEA writing
● Inspected incoming part shipments and ensured they were within AQL
● Wrote work instructions explaining assembly processes of skincare laser devices, arduino based calibration fixtures, Raspberry Pi work stations for use by technicians
● Documented and uploaded device parameters to SQL database via Raspberry Pi
● Wrote validation documents for process validation and calibration improvement
● Trained intern on manufacturing/assembly process Research Experience
Lab Assistant, Mechatronics and Robotics Research Lab September 2015 to May 2016
● Providing support in lab using electrical engineering skills to support mechanical engineering graduate students
● Designed an analog circuit device from planning to final product in conjunction with Mechanical Engineering students that can detect an LED light flash with a phototransistor and activate an IR LED and send a signal to communicate with another board
● Picked out, ordered parts and designed analog circuit in EAGLE before board assembly Academic
Projects
WaterMainia, Senior Design Project September 2016 – April 2017
● Designed and constructed a device to detect water flows coming into a home from a water main with a group built electromagnetic flow meter
● If the flow rate is indicative of a burst pipe or other large leak, a ball valve will be automatically triggered and water flow from the water main will be cut
● Designed PCB for power supply using Altium
