I am a highly, motivated and responsible professional with 18 years of experience in the medical field. I am always searching for ways to enhance my knowledge to help me grow in my nursing career. I am seeking to amplify my nursing skills and be able to provide direct patient care. I have excellent communication skills and can multi-task. I am a fast learner, a team player, reliable, flexible and a very hard worker. I obtained my BSN from UTEP on December 2018. I obtained my associate degree of Science from El Paso Community College in 2016. As a Nursing Assistant I have gained experience in the home health setting. I also have experience taking care of patients in the end of life process and assisting their families through the process. In 2013 I acquired my Medical Assistant which gave me the opportunity to work closer with physicians of different specialties and the flow of a clinical setting. Further on working as a Medical Interpreter for a company that provides services to hospitals across the United States, I was able to perfect my communication skills and become exposed to the different interactions between providers and patients. After graduating I became a labor and delivery nurse in Labor and Delivery unit, caring for patients as they transition to become mothers, a job that I find very fulfilling. Currently I am working as a Hospice Case Manager, were I am in charge of coordinating the complete care of patients and their families as they go throughout the difficult process of end of life. I am eager to keep learning and eventually acquire a degree as Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner and offer my services to our community.
