I got my MSN in 1985 and have been working as an pediatric clinical nurse specialist since 1985 in a variety of mid level provider roles. In 2017 I completed education as a Family Nurse Practitioner. I was fortunate to be able to work in pediatric dermatology for the past 13 years and continued in "prn" roles in general pediatrics in several clinics around DFW. My experience with adults in the Family Health setting has been very rewarding, I was surprised how much I enjoy since I did pediatrics for so much of my career. I enjoy continuity of care and really enlisting the patients in the plan of care so it is a mutual journey for both of us. I enjoy moving around to different settings. Currently work in 2 family practices and one pediatric setting. My contract is coming to an end at one facility and wanted to explore if there are other new options open.
Personally I like to run 4-5 miles a day and enjoy my granddaughter and her family as often as possible. I like to travel and explore new places. Work life balance is very important to me and I do find prn and per diem opportunities fit me great.
Thank you for considering my application.
