DUTIES AND SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:

TO ENSURE FOLLOWINGS: -

Supervise the work and develop of non-destructive testing (NDT) trainees or staff with methods such as acoustic emission testing, leak testing, and thermal or infrared testing with documenting processes, or results.

Examine structures or vehicles such as aircraft, trains, nuclear reactors, bridges, dams, and pipelines using non-destructive testing (NDT) techniques.

Produce images of objects on film using radiographic techniques to detect flaws in objects while leaving objects intact.

Evaluate material properties using radio astronomy, voltage and amperage measurement, or rheometric flow measurement.

Visually examine materials, structures, or components using tools and equipment such as endoscopes, closed circuit television systems, and fiber optics for signs of corrosion, metal fatigue, cracks, or other flaws.

Identify defects in concrete or other building materials using thermal or infrared testing.

Identify defects in solid materials using ultrasonic testing techniques.

Conduct liquid penetrant tests to locate surface cracks by coating objects with fluorescent dyes, cleaning excess penetrant.

Knowledge of material identification and codes B 31,B 31.1,B 31.3, B 31.8.

To check welding as per WPS, isometric drawings, methods statements and piping for correct schedule, material type and continuity of items with approved drawings

To prepare daily welding progress report, offering joints for carrying out repairs and meeting field staff about progress & improved coordination.

To maintain record for inspection of steel structure & piping work.

ACADEMIC PROJECT:

Title: DESIGN OF ENGINE BLOCK IN COLLEGE CAMPUS

Summary: - An engine is a machine which burns fuel and delivers useful work.

To do this, air and fuel enters through camshaft-controlled inlet valves, burns and the expanding gases force the piston, which is below the valves, to move down in the cylinder bore. This motion is transferred to the crankshaft, below the piston, which is connected to it by the connecting rod, and this drives our cars. The burnt gases are expelled by the exhaust valves and the cycle repeats.
