Description: MLGW requires that the system provide the ability to control security to restrict which users may perform updates, when users will be able to have access the system to make those updates, and who will approve elements of the budget.
Responsibilities:
As an Oracle Apps developer, involved in development, enhancement of Budget Application project.
Developed process to regenerate and update the data in the custom tables, to support the Oracle EBS Budget Implementation.
Worked on BI Publisher (XML Publisher) for Various Purchasing reports. Generated new reports as well as converted existing oracle reports to XML, by creating RTF templates using Template Builder.
Designed, developed, tested and implemented new BI Publisher Report that gives the users complete list of all budget application reports.
Modified Budget Report using BI Publisher to add new fields to the report layout. The validations for new fields are added to PL/SQL package that builds the data model for the report.
Developed a new custom inbound interface to send information from Oracle EBS system to Budget system. Interface is responsible for extracting incremental data in the form of flat files from several functional areas such as Invoices, Inventory and Catalog Items, General Ledger as per the business rules.
Developed several programs using Linux Shell scripting to implement OS level file handling functionalities such as splitting files into multiple files based on the business rules, transferring files using FTP/SFTP, reading and processing the files, extracting data from files, moving and purging files.
Developed programs in Linux that handle PL/SQL functionalities from shell such as submitting Concurrent Programs, running SQL queries and PL/SQL blocks, handling database errors, and generating concurrent program output reports.
Used FND_LOAD utility to migrate various FND entities like concurrent programs, value sets, executables, Flex fields, Request Groups, Request Sets, etc. from one environment to another.
