Project : COMPASS Finance Management System (Cognizant)

Description:

COMPASS is a cognizant internal account which manages all internal projects. Cognizant use PeopleSoft as their ERP. COMPASSFIN is the project which manages all financial transactions involving vendor, expense and payrolls. The development aspect involved was to implement payments automation to all the geographies where Cognizant Technology Solutions is operational for all kind of vendor, employee expense and payroll transactions and reduce human dependency. Modules involved are Payables, Financial gateway, and Cash Management. Currently we are upgrading to 9.2 PUM#27 and Tools 8.57.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Analysis of the existing application and its interface with other applications, its business impact and also additional features to enhance the functionality of the application.

Worked on integration of people soft with various banks like BNP Paribas, CITI and JPMorgan & Chase.

Worked extensively on BANK RECONCILIATION, DEVELOPMENT.

Analyzing PUM#27, Tools 8.57/8.56/8.55 and testing the changes for upgrade.

Developed application engines to download data from third party systems to PeopleSoft database.

Performed Unit Testing of the application and documented the results.

Involved in analyzing and developing Cash Management automation.

Involved in Bug fixing as reported by the client and Testing Team.

Provided Knowledge transitions to the new team members.

Creating/presenting weekly status reports, monthly metrics to the client as per management.
