SUMMARY OF SKILLS

Communication- During my time working the All-American Bowl Tour, I was the point of contact the school and local media members for each event. When we arrived, I had to lead the event which included choosing venues, organizing and setting equipment to maximize branding, and then actually executing each presentation. Also, while at Combined as a Sales Coordinator I trained several new employees, utilizing my abilities to teach and communicate the important aspects of the job to be successful. That experience improved my ability to explain and teach to people of all ages.

Problem Solving- While working for the All-American bowl, I helped execute 31 total events at different High Schools/venues. Each one presented it own set of challenges, such as venues not working with the equipment, or the school’s administration or media not fully cooperating. I had to overcome all of these by finding solutions for every challenge we encountered before, during and after events to have as great of an event as possible, and to maximize our branding and our sponsors as much as possible.

Social Media- I shared responsibility for choosing the pictures, editing them, adding captions and tags, and sending out social media posts while on Tour for the All-American Bowl’s Instagram, Twitter, and Facebook pages. (examples on https://www.instagram.com/aabonnbc/?hl=en )

Public Speaking- At every event we did for the All-American Bowl Tour, I was the (MC)speaker at each event. Crowds were consistently between 100-750 people per event, and each event lasted between 10-15 minutes.

Creativity- As previously mentioned, I had to made selections of photos for all 30 events, and then create content around that. Also, for each event I had to tailor each script for the different players/schools. This gave me freedom to edit/create different sections based on the information I researched on each player.

Time Management- While on the road for AAB Tour, I had to plan our route and find hotel throughout the 10-week tour. This included traveling across the country and finding over 25 different places, on top of our work. My time at Combined Insurance helped me with this too when I first became a Sales Coordinator. I was responsible for helping a new agent through their first week, so I had to create time to answer questions or help whenever they needed.
