Community Partners in Action, Manchester AIC - Case Manager As a Case Manager, I work one on one with clients who are part of the criminal justice population. My work includes engaging clients in strategic case management sessions in order to introduce and reinforce skills surrounding risk areas of their life in order to reduce future re-offending. My responsibilities include:
● Completing intakes and assessments for parole, probation, family court, and bail clients in order to place them into services and groups that are most appropriate for their criminogenic needs
● Facilitating one on one sessions with clients, focusing on their criminogenic needs and building skills around them to reduce future re-offending
● Being a part of the Case Management Committee, and working alongside Case Managers, Program Managers, and CSSD, to assist with new improvements to Case Management
● Operating CDCS and entering data in a timely manner
● Supervising Various interns at our program throughout their internships
● Working alongside a team of Case Managers and Intervention Specialists, in order to advocate for my clients, and ensure their success in our program
● Facilitating the Living Safely Without Violence, and Job Development Groups
● Forming and maintaining relationships with referral sources, and staying in contact with them regarding pertinent information about clients including monthly reports August 2017 - May 2018
Osborn Correctional Facility, Somers CT - Intern/Researcher I was one of two students chosen by the head of the Department of Sociology at the University of Hartford to intern alongside the counselors of the Addiction Services Unit at Osborn Correctional Facility. My responsibilities included:
● Completing intake, assessment, and discharge forms for the inmates in the T.O.P. and Tier II and Tier IV drug treatment programs
● Interviewing inmates regarding their interest in participating in each of the programs, and continuing this communication with them during the duration of their stay in the program
● Assisting counselors with running their daily groups with the inmates, including the Methadone group, Tier II and Tier IV groups, and NA/AA groups
● Analyzing data in the Department of Sociology using Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS) in order to determine the overall efficacy of the Tier IV program August 2017 - May 2018
LEAD: The Women’s Advancement Initiative, Bloomfield CT - Events Manager As a member of LEAD, I was chosen to be the head Events Manager for our program. My responsibilities included:

● Planning, scheduling, and attending, all events for over 100 women who were involved in the LEAD program
● Working closely with a team of interns and supervisors to ensure that each event ran smoothly and reflected the beliefs and values that LEAD was built upon.
● Networking with many professional women both on and off campus for their involvement in the events with the women in the program
● Working with students in many different fields of study to tailor events based on their interests and future career goals
● Creating invitations, flyers, posters, etc. for mass communication among the women in the program, and keeping track of attendance for events Skills
