OBJECTIVE: Position as Research Associate

HIGHLIGHTS

Over three years of experience in Research and quality control lab as CHEMIST and one year Canadian manufacturing experience in pharmaceuticals.

Perform analysis of Raw Material, Purified Water, In-process, Dosage, Process and Cleaning Validation and Technology Transfer using analytical instruments and established analytical procedures and techniques as scheduled within the established departmental testing timelines.

Interprets and documents all test results, calculations and observations and completes report summaries, as per established SOP.

Identifies and reports any Out-of-Specification (OOS) /Out-of-Trend (OOT) or Questionable results or any issues of non-conformance to Supervisor immediately. Under the direction of the Supervisor assists in the completion of lab investigations

Daily calibration of lab equipment such as balance, pH meter and Milli-Q Water in accordance with established procedures.

Good theoretical and practical knowledge of organic, inorganic, physical and analytical chemistry including instrumental analysis.

Good knowledge and understanding of of CGMP/CGLP, as well as with pertinent FDA and Health Canada guidelines.

Regular problem solving with significant degree of judgment coupled with excellent logical skills required. Problems typically include chemistry related issues (i.e. understanding the chemistry/degradation of the active), instrumentation related problems.

I have experience to maintain the record-book and to make COAs

Have experience to maintain stock of laboratory chemicals and standards (Disposal and ordering of new chemicals).

Good knowledge of wet chemistry, analytical bench techniques, Window-based software, and automated data acquisition systems and also have experience of working with SAP.

Knowledge of Excel, Word, other Microsoft Office Programs and laboratory software packages.

Strong knowledge of automated laboratory instrumentation such as HPLC, AA, UV, Dissolution, IR, UV/VIS Spectrophotometry and GC.

Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.

Detail oriented with problem solving and instrument troubleshooting ability.

Strong organization and time management skills.

Quick learner with the ability to adapt to new surrounding and learn new tasks and extremely adaptable to change.

Comfortable working in a face paced, dynamic environment and multi-tasking.

SKILL SUMMARY

WET TESTS

Wet tests for Water, Effluent, packaging materials, Raw materials and Finish product (API).

Volumetric titrations, ROI, ROE, Gravimetric analysis, pH and conductivity measurements.

Complex Titrations, Colourmetric Limit tests, Trace Metal analyses, and complex Wet Chemistry involving extractions.

INSTRUMENTATION

Well-developed skills to operate UV, FT-IR, Karl Fischer Water Tester, TOC analyzer, HPLC, UV, Dissolution, Titration, Fluorimetric, Column Chromatography, Auto-Titrator, Viscometer, TLC, AA, GC, DSC, Melting Point, Particle Size Distributor.

Interpretation of data of NMR, Mass and IR Spectrograms

Optical Rotation by polarimeter.

Check purity of samples using TLC.

DOCUMENTATION

Reviews calibration of instruments, as assigned, to ensure accuracy and precision in the performance of laboratory equipment.

Interpretation of NMR, Mass and IR spectra.

Reporting results to plant engineers

Identify OOS and incident and report it, help to investigate it.

To enter results of analysis in SAP and also Test Data Sheets

To maintaining record books for standard and chemical used.

Perform SAP results recording and to make COAs of Finished product
