Manage operational and engineering support across multiple platforms and services using an onshore/offshore 24x7x365 service catalog. Maintained licensing, and support agreements for these same platforms. Manage project and operational budgets of nearly $12 million dollars (Cap & OpEx). Informatica Platform Services: responsible for the design, engineering and implementation of technical architectures for the Informatica platform to insure a highly scalable, large volume enterprise solution. We interact with projects to develop solutions that meet both stated and unstated business needs. The group maintains compliance with security, change control and development standards. Using an on-shore/off- shore model, we manage code migration across environments, coordinate the re-use and synchronization of maps and write/modify scripts as required and provide support for hundreds of Informatica workflows. I managed 8 DBAs. The group maintained over 300 Oracle instances, 190 SQL Server databases, 40 Sybase environments, 8 DB2 databases and 1 Teradata installation. We provided a variety of database services ranging from data modeling to production support. My staff participated in team design meetings, logical data requirements and developer’s code reviews. We were responsible for implementation of backup and recovery procedures, capacity planning, database performance analysis and tuning, query optimization and maintaining service level agreements.

One major accomplishment was the migration of 60 applications from antiquated hardware to newer clustered servers by consolidating databases off 8 Alpha servers and 3 HP Superdomes onto 8 Sun Solaris servers. Another major initiative was the implementation of an 8Tb Teradata system for our Enterprise Data Warehouse project.
