Senior Geologist/Project Manager - Phase II Environmental Assessments and Phase III Remediation Activities - Soil Mechanics Environmental Services - March 1990 to present

- Design and implementation of environmental/subsurface investigation work plans, health and safety plans, remedial action plans, site management plans, etc. in accordance with applicable institutional and governmental guidelines.

- Prepare Phase II investigation and Phase III remediation proposals/contracts.

- Write site contamination investigation final reports based on interpretation of chemical, hydrogeologic, and geophysical data including findings, conclusions and recommendations.

- Supervise and coordinate field operations during Phase II environmental assessments involving the drilling of soil test borings, installation of monitoring wells, and collection of associated soil, soil vapor, and aqueous samples all, in accordance with proper sampling and decontamination protocols and in accordance regulatory agency requirements.

- Supervise and coordinate field operations during Phase III investigation/remedial activities, under the supervision of regulatory agencies, involving the removal of underground storage tanks, removal/closure of contaminated subsurface drainage structures, remediation of sites with confirmed soil, soil-vapor, and groundwater contamination, and proper disposal of contaminated soil, sludge, and liquid phase material.

- Characterize physical/subsurface geology and hydrogeology for various site contamination investigations.

- Interact between clients, subcontractors, governmental agencies, and senior staff members.

- Conduct site surveys and sampling activities for real estate transactions. Field Inspector - Soil Mechanics Drilling Corp. - May 1982 to October 1983, May 1985 to March 1990.

- Interpretation of borehole data relative to soil characteristics (i.e., grain size distribution, porosity, permeability, density, and morphology) during supervision/inspection of building foundation construction.

- Supervised/inspected preparation of foundations and foundation beds for structures ranging from single story warehouses to 36 story office buildings.

- Supervised/inspected controlled landfill operations, load testing activities, and installation of subsurface drainage structures and associated piping. Field Geotechnician - Converse consultants - November 1983 to May 1985. Converse consultants is a geotechnical engineering and applied sciences firm which deals with construction management, engineering, consultation, and supervision. Employed as a full time geotechnician and field inspector I was responsible for soil analysis and testing, road and foundation bed inspection, supervision of excavation and controlled fill, tunnel excavation and general construction supervision.
