In 2013 Hamza joined Drake and Scull where employed as an Electrical Design Engineer in Engineering department and Rail department and successfully developed the Traction power, signaling and Electrical services drawings along with technical calculations required for Airport Passenger Mover system at Jeddah’s King Abdul-Aziz Airport expansion project, Dubai Airport People Mover System and MEP projects listed below. - Review the contract/design drawings and specifications to ensure that all electrical and live Safety systems are as per the UAE authorities’ codes and standards.
- Provide feedback to consultant on design Issues through submitting the relevant RFIs for the Engineer approval/advice as required.
- Ensure the accurate engineering of all electrical works in projects as per the IFC design, specifications and authority standards at minimum cost with accordance to QA/QC procedures and company procedures.
- Handle, liaise and manage all electrical and life safety systems with UAE Authorities from material submittals reviewing and shop drawings preparation submission stage till the execution and as-built stage.
- Coordinate and follow-up with the company departments and subcontractors on the running project activities.
- Prepare look-ahead schedules and plans to ensure that the tasks are completed within the targeted deadlines.
