Structural & Piping Support Disciplines: Over 15+ years in Offshore Oil and Gas Environment and Ship building (Gulf of Mexico Projects) with Strong Structural design, laying out equipment to meet regulations and regular maintenance requirements, Detailing and Fabrication industry. The software used during this time was PDMS V11.6 & 12.1 and Aveva PDMS Draft module (3 yrs.). AutoCAD thru release 2018 (15+ yrs.) Worked from FEED to Final Assembly. 03/04/2018 – 04/03/20 Sr. Structural Designer IV/Checker (Ingalls-Shipping) Pascagoula, MS Working as a Sr. Structural Designer IV/Checker, checking using AutoCAD (2018) for 2D Drawings, ShipConstructor 2019r212 and Navisworks 2018(Simulate) to check on 3D Models for any interference, Design, Fabrication, Errors and Company Standards. On Fabrication 2D drawings use Revu(Bluebeam) software to markup(Redlines), and including welds per industry standards. Also worked on Checking Foundations and Flexible Infrastructures then release them thru ARAS and QCL. Help incorporate ECN for Outfitting group.

06/2018 – 12/2018 Sr. Structural Designer III/Checker (Austal USA) Mobile, AL Checking using AutoCAD (2018) 2D Drawings, 3D Models ShipConstructor 2018 and Navisworks 2018(Simulate) used Design Review for all Redlines(Markups) for any interference, Design, Fabrication, Welding, errors and Company Standards. 09/2017 – 06/2018 Sr. Mechanical Cad Designer (Guerrero’s Design Services) Katy, TX Worked a Project Engineer/Owner on creating prototype designs for Commercial Construction Field Equipment, Using Inventor (2017) and AutoCAD (2017). My duties include projects with fabrication using industrial standards for more cost effective in developing the product. Creating fabricated drawings and Ref drawings against Engineering Designed Drawings. Bill of materials for best quality and cost. 02/2016 – 05/2017 Sr. Structural Cad Designer (Axis EPC, Inc.) Katy, TX Consulting work for a Project Engineer-Owner on creating Structure Support Partitions, Panels, Studs, Civil, Commercial bldgs., and Etc. drawings for a four level Storage Building using AutoCAD 2014 and 2016. 09/2010 – 09/2014 Principal Senior Structural Designer (Aker Solutions, Inc.) Houston, TX Assistant the Project Principal Senior Lead Designer and stepped into lead role during his absence. Was responsible for utilizing PDMS in the creation of a portion of the structural model. Responsible in giving direction to the PDMS/AutoCAD designer team (All disciplines). Was supervising 7-8 Designers/Checkers and checking fabrication drawings against Engineering Designed Drawings. Main Structural Steel, Platforms, Piping, Equipment and Electrical supports. Travel to India to re-direct and instruct our Contract Detailing Co. Travel multiple time to fabricator, and was providing solutions for fabrication issues. (2007). Used Master Layout Drawing to check Main Deck Girders, Sec. Steel, Platforms, Stairs, and Ladders. Helped several Structural Designers in working out any design issues, Manufacturability and with AutoCAD issues. Produced Bill of Materials and weight estimations. Incorporated most of the ECO (Eng.-Change- Orders) using Custom Excel Spread Sheet.

03/06-08/06 Checker/Structural Cad Designer (Keppel Amfels) Brownsville, TX Used AutoCAD (2006), Duties included checking construction drawings and Ref drawings against Engineering Designed Drawings and creating Redline changes before going to construction. I worked with Yard on construction dwgs and refit of Mobile Offshore Drilling Units and Vessels. Incorporated ECN’s, Producing Bill of materials, material take-off and weight estimations. 03/05-03/06 Checker/Structural Cad Designer (Flare Industries) Austin, TX Used Inventor 10 & AutoCAD (2005) created different type of designs as per Customers requests. Created General Arrangements Models and Fabrication drawings. My duties included checking Models and Drawings before they sending to shop and sub-contractors. Some of the different disciplines were Structural, Piping, Platform & ladders, P&ID’s, K.O. Drums, and Skids. Designed a New Structural Davit Lift mounts onto Flare Riser & many other designs.
