Dear Hiring Manager:

This is to express my interest in the ct technologist position. I have been working in the x-ray department for just over 2 years and in the CT department since Oct 2018, doing scans independently since Aug 2019 and have been certified since Dec 2019. Though my time spent in CT may appear short, it has been filled with a variety of cases. Due to lack of staffing I had to quickly learn new protocols to confidently work on my own in the CT rotation.

Having moved to Northern Manitoba right after becoming a certified MRT, I unknowingly stepped into a fast paced learning environment due to the population I was presented with. On several occasions I had to work on my own or with coworkers, both in the department and within other departments, in cases involving pediatric to geratric patients. Weekly there were several trauma cases including stabbings, MVA,s and domestic violence to name a few. Several patients within the community are alcohol dependent and getting diagnostic imaging on ETOH patients helped me to develop patience and positioning skills and tricks I had never thought I’d need.

I have enjoyed the challenges presented to me and am thankful for getting to learn so much so quickly. I have become a calm and compassionate person when working with my patients and always make my patients feel comfortable and safe. Given my unique experience and excellent capabilities I would appreciate your consideration for this job.
