Director of Technical Operations, Automotive X PRIZE, 2009 – 2011. Managed the technical aspects of the competition designed to find the next generation of viable, safe, affordable and super- efficient vehicles, capable of 100 miles per gallon (or the energy equivalent) and 100 miles range.
• Authored the comprehensive Competition Guidelines.
• Directed three phases of competition with the technical team and our partner/venue at Michigan International Speedway.
• Supervised testing of diverse vehicles to current EPA fuel economy and emissions standards.
• Worked in cooperation with Argonne National Laboratory to validate the testing results.
