SolidWorks Training - Multiple, beginning in 1997, including PDM Administrator (since 2001), and CosmosWorks (2007)

Special Interest:

Pertaining to my career-life, I’ve been associated with the SolidWorks “family” for many years, interacting with various segments of the company, including being a Lead Member of the PDM Integration Team when PDMWorks first came on-line. I’ve worked with SolidWorks personnel doing Testing and Product Enhancement/Refinement, both in-house (Headquarters) and by webinar/GoToMeeting while I sat utilizing the software at my machine at home or during free time at work. I most recently did the in-house Beta testing of SolidWorks 2012, and was a Panelist at the Release Press Event at Headquarters. I know and have a good rapport with many of the individuals who make the product that I’ve grown to feel is a big part of me - it’s both palette AND brush for my “Art”. Although I’ve used many CAD 2D and 3D packages, SolidWorks is by far my overall favorite. The fact that other CAD software platforms are mimicking SolidWorks functionality and user friendliness makes it easier to switch around the various programs used in the industry.

Scout Leader -

Boy Scouts of America Troop 701 Wakefield, Mass. for 7 Years. Achieved Honor of BSA Order of the Arrow, Scoutmaster,

Honor Leader, and Honor Troop. Once my son achieved Eagle Scout I eventually scaled-back my involvement and active participation

In Troop Leadership, but remain available as a Merit Badge Counselor. While with Troop 701 I led many activities including summiting Mount Washington twice and hiking the Presidential Range while staying over in mountainside huts; paddling two 5-day 50-mile canoe treks on the Pemigewasset River, performing community service along the way; multiple Klondike Derby Winter camping/sled races

(and the building of a sled); biking up Cadillac Mountain in Acadia National Park; Deerfield River whitewater rafting; and hundreds of hours of charity and community service work in and around Wakefield. I started in Scouting as a Cub Scout when I was about eight years old, and never dreamed of how awesome a ride it’d all turn out to be. The comprehensive Leadership Training regimen BSA provided has been of great and varied use to me over the years. I have been privileged to know, work with, nurture and succeed with some of the best people (mostly the Scouts, themselves) I’ve ever met, scaling the heights of challenges more difficult than I ever imagined. I miss it.

Can’t wait until my son has a child and the whole thing starts all over again…

Hobbies Include: Hiking, Kayaking, Skiing, Canoeing, Cycling, Area Sports Teams, Various Culinary Endeavors, Arnis and Karate.
