Project - The Lower Fars heavy oil development project (LFHOD)-Phase-I, Kuwait

About Project:

The Lower Fars heavy oil development project (LFHOD) aims to extract heavy oil from the Lower Fars reservoir of the Ratqa oil field, which is located in the northern part of Kuwait. It is the first heavy oil project in the country and the biggest upstream project in the Middle East. Ratqa is owned and operated by Kuwait Oil Company (KOC), and is being developed to meet the company’s goal of reaching a production rate of four million barrels of oil per day (bopd).The project will comprise a steam injection unit, a central processing facility (CPF), two heavy oil gathering units, steam and gas pipelines, and oil and gas export pipelines.

Layout Study & Finalization
