Title: Stabilization of black cotton soil using foundry sand and fly ash for road subgrade

My Role: To find the best additive to be replaced by black cotton soil and also it should increases the strength parameters of BC soil. To conduct various test on BC soil and comparing with foundry sand.

To improve undesirable properties of soil, such as excessive swelling or shrinkages, high plasticity, difficulty in compacting
Foundry sand content is varied from 0% to 30% with a increment of 10%.(i.e. 0%,10%,20% and 30%) with 10% fly ash to optimize its value on maximum dry density and CBR value of suitable black-foundry sand mixture.
To find out technically most desirable combination of black cotton soil and foundry sand with constant percentage of fly ash at the optimum moisture content and maximum dry density.
