MAIN PROJECT

Project Title: “ DRILLING FLUID ”.

Description: The project is based on identifying the unconventional sources which has the potential to drive the operation of oil field. From our existing technology we will not be able to recover the unconventional and hydrocarbons which is need to be developed. This proposed model would be able to address the wide range of difficulties encountered in oil field drilling operations. My project presents the critical review of fluid system and technologies and case studies of drilling fluids.

EXTRA CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES AND ACHIEVEMENTS

• Presented a paper in a two day national level technical symposium on the topic “DRILLING FLUID” at Periyar Maniammai University.

• Participated in one day national level seminar on “ A RECENT TREND IN POWER QUALITY

MANAGEMENT”.

• In-plant training on “ SURFACE SECTION ” at ONGC Karaikal (Cauvery basin), 14 Days.

• STCW certification for service at sea (standards of training, certification and watch keeping).

• Basic Fundamentals of Coreldraw, soundforge, AUTO CAD (included in curriculum), Arc & Gas welding, Mechanical and Electrical works.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITY

• Testing and Analysing barrel loops by Eddy current method.

• Monitoring the Eddy pro process.

• Reporting the condition of barrel for quality check.

• Reviewing outlets for pipelines with measurements.

• Check the vessel and column of machine, pipelines, and boilers by Olympus model 27/38/45 mg.

• Presenting the pipeline network diagram for quality check.

• Supervising the labors and co-ordinating the work.

• Evaluating the pipeline weld by Di-Penetrate Testing.

• Continuity check of crack in pipelines by Magnet Penetrate Testing.
