Sr.QA Analyst
Worked on many projects within UHG, Worked on Health Insurance Exchange project for the State of Vermont and Sate of Massachusetts as a Sr.QA Analyst. Since April, 2016 I have been part of an Optum internal project for OIL (Optum Integration Layer) with state of Wyoming and OptumCare with Mt. West. As my most recent project I am working with VACCN (Veterans Affairs Community Care Network)
Responsibilities:
VACCN (Veterans Affairs Community Care Network) Sr. QA Analyst/Data Specialist
Community Care Network (CCN)’s goal is to allow more Veterans to receive healthcare services outside the VA; this provides Veterans better access when the VA providers do not have availability or the VA is not accessible to the Veteran due to distance and time.
Network includes Medical, Behavioral, Dental, Vision, Rx and Complimentary Integrated Healthcare Services (CIHS).
Utilized the CA Agile Central rally tool for test case creation, execution, reporting and defect logging.
Utilized DTS (data transformation system) built by Optum to transform X12 EDI files to XML format.
Utilized Liaison EDI notepad and notepad++ extensively to perform Functional testing.
Lead the effort of E2E integration testing between the 834 (Member Eligibility), Referrals and claims for those members.
As the lead of E2E test process; built the E2E testing process for all the systems that the file would go to and collaborated with other vendors such as LHI for the completion of the process.

Optum Care (MT. West&RBE)- QA Lead/Manager
This project was based on Mt. West regions; Optum provided its platform Optum Integration Layer (OIL) for the claims system for these regions. OIL provided integration services to any internal or external system using a variety of application protocols and integration patterns.
This project followed Agile methodology and I was part of the PI planning events, daily scrum calls, agile trainings and Daily status report meetings.
Worked closely with the team to groom the User stories during the PI event and put them in the Backlog in CaRally.
Worked as a QA Lead and worked mainly with 834 and 274 EDI transactions, was responsible for weekly reporting for the QA team.
Was responsible for coordinating with a different scrum team to get the sample CDF files from FACETS.
Performed different levels of testing within each sprint as needed- which included Unit, Smoke, Performance, SIT, Security and regression.
Used Visual Studios to perform ad-hoc and exploratory tests which included action auditing, commenting with annotations, rich data capturing and bug-reporting.
Functional &SIT testing included Field, File and record level testing.

OIL is centralized integration layer for various Optum systems for internal and external integration, utilizing Mule ESB including, B2B Adaptors, EDI conversions (834, 837I, 837P, 274 and 278).
Worked on the Utilization and Health Management services (UM/HM) for the state of Wyoming Medicaid program.
Used Medecision’s Aerial Care Management (ACM) platform for services.
Created thousands of data files and processed them through WS_FTP to validate the errors for negative data and EDIs for positive data.
Validated each EDI transaction using Microsoft Visio and Ultra Edit.
Created and processed Change files for 834 and 837I and 837P, validated the changes are processed and EDI’s are sent to Medecision.
Extensively used Microsoft PowerPoint to create formulas and reference sheets for each EDI transaction in order to validate the results.
Used HP ALM for test management and to run a Smoke test for each release and for Defect Management.
Tested PA SOAP service in SOAPUI, the service had an internal logic to derive the value of Prior authorization number request triggered each time by an incremental count of sequence number.
Used Sauce Labs tool to run automation tests in the system.
The data for each day and last sequence number was logged into the database in order to pick up the next sequence for that day and increment the count for subsequent request.
Validated each PA response in SOAPUI and logged results in the MuleSoft application.
State of Massachusetts:
Worked on the MassHealth Redeterminations requirements specifically related to the implementation of functionality into the hCentive system for R8.
Attended BRD walk-thru meetings to understand the business requirements, User stories and participated in creating test plan, test scenarios, test cases and test data.
Strong knowledge on Notices, MMIS, EDI, APTC, Plan Management, Eligibility, Program determination, and FLP validations, CMS/ Federal Hub Testing.

Park Avenue is a skilled nursing, rehabilitation and assisted living facility. I was working with Tapsetry Case Management, Epic’s financial case management module. This tool was helpful to improve the patient experience and population health while reducing the per capita costs.
