The transition involved changing from Oracle to a Denodo 7 backward facing Apache Hive/Hadoop database. Work included the rewriting of ORACLE views to Denodo views. As part of the DSA team, worked on rewriting existing Oracle views to new Denodo views pulling data from the Hive/Hadoop AESIP databases. Data analysis and querying were necessary to compare between legacy and updated datasources using Toad 9.5 and SQL Developer. Migrated legacy Oracle objects to one centralized database. Repointed existing Java application datasources to new centralized Oracle database. Other work included the transition of ColdFusion 10 applications to AngularJS web applications running on WebLogic 12c servers. Acquired knowledge of Denodo 6 and 7 through working with the Denodo team. Created Denodo views and wrote web services utilized by the FedLog Addressing application. Through online research and group development gained knowledge of AngularJS and familiarity with Angular 6 through self-study of online resources.
