M.Tech Thesis - Wire Arc Additive Manufacturing(WAAM) of Pelton Wheel Bucket
(Guide : Dr.Degala venkata kiran) [Jul ’19 - till date]
Abstract: Wire and arc additive manufacturing (WAAM) is used for building medium to large sized components without using any support structures and also have low buy-to-
y ratio compared to other additive manufacturing techniques. This study mainly focuses on the process planning in WAAM to build complex components, which mainly requires CAD modelling software, Slicing software and a programming tool for tool path generation. Pelton wheel bucket is manufactured with the developed methodology which is used in the hydraulic turbines for power generation. The proposed methodology can be used for building complex components in WAAM without using any commercially available 3D printing software.
B.Tech Project - Design and fabrication of briquetting machine
(Guide : Praveen D Jadhav) [Dec ’16 - jun ’17]
Abstract: Biomass briquettes are often used as an energy source for cooking purpose and in some industries like bricks and bakery. The briquettes are produced by densi cation of waste biomass using screw press mechanism. This machine is used to utilize agricultural waste products as raw material. The machine was developed in order to be utilized by cottage factories to produce cakes for both domestic and industrial use as source of heat energy.
