ACADEMIC PROJECTS

SDN Load Balancer (Tools – Python, Virtualbox, Mininet, Pox controller, Ubuntu, iPerf) Sep 2019

• Implemented Round Robin, Weighted Round, least connection and Weighted Least connection using python.

• Tested and compared performance of Load Balancer on an SDN environment utilizing Mininet and Pox controller. Analysis of DDoS attack in SDN environment (Tools – Python, Ubuntu, Pox Controller, Mininet) Nov 2019

• Designed a network topology consisting of hosts, switches, links and controller using Mininet in an SDN environment.

• Implemented two models on the Pox controller using Sample Entropy and Principal Component Axis to detect Distributed Denial of Services in an SDN environment. Design of an E-NOSE (Tools – Python, Machine Learning) May 2019

• Data cleaning, Data visualization and feature extraction was performed on a gas-sensor dataset containing sensor values of a given sample in a series of time.

• Three classification models were developed in order to predict gas class and its performance was tested. VLAN creation using OVS (Tools – VMware workstation, OVS, Ubuntu) Feb 2019

• Created a topology of a switch connecting multiple virtual machines using Open vSwitch. Switch ports were assigned different VLAN IDs to create multiple VLANs among the VMs. Telnet to Multiple Routers using Python (Tools – Python, Ubuntu, NS-3) Nov 2018

• Designed a network topology consisting of an Ubuntu device connected to multiple routers using GNS-3.

• A Python Automation script was run on device to telnet to all connected routers and configure loopback addresses and OSPF on them.

Network simulation using NS3 (Tools – VMware workstation, NS-3, C++, Wireshark) Mar 2019

• Created several networks with a different number of users in NS3. Leveraged throughputs to compare performance of networks. The same was repeated by using Request to Send/Clear to Send mechanism.
