Auburn Hills, MI USA
To whom it may concern,
My name is James Ezuruonye, and I am a supplier quality engineer with over twenty years of hands on experience in supplier development. As General Motors Auburn Hills, MI focuses on automotive manufacturing, I believe my experiences as an engineer have equipped me with the necessary skills to tackle a variety of projects.
As a supplier quality engineer my duties are to ensure that the quality of the purchased components meet specified demands, using supplier procedures to validate supplier products quality and performance. I have experience working with suppliers in reducing and eliminating potential supplier issues, the ability to facilitate communication between suppliers and validate supplier manufacturing process capability, and experience in establishing relationships with supplier quality organizations and management.
Due to my time working in several companies in various positions, my understanding of AIAG quality
processes in the evaluation of products, ability to conduct PPAP reviews and capability studies, and involvement in working with suppliers to minimize any confusion and discrepancies related to product quality have solidified my expertise in these areas. Working as a plastics injection molding engineer at Detroit Thermal Systems and others, I have a thorough understanding of plastic processing, including Statistics Process Control (SPC) application, Advance Product Quality Planning (APQP), PPAP, Control Plan and other quality improvement methods and application.
My knowledge of plant manufacturing processes, ability to apply quality improvement processes, experiences leading contracts concerning supplier’s product quality issues, and providing technical assistance during supplier launch, change-over and ongoing production activities, have provided me opportunities in leadership and problem solving. As an executive leader at Detroit Thermal Systems, tasked with implementing and executing the suppliers’ monthly issue reviews, complaints, and 8D responses open and closures, I also managed the inspection of incoming materials as well as the resolution of non-conformed materials between the plant, suppliers, and customers.
Furthermore, my experience conducting gate interviews according to APQP supplier development and new product launch, familiarity with PPAP, and experiences working on Corrective Action Reports (CARs), are vital attributes I will bring as a supplier quality engineer at General Motors Auburn Hills, MI. As a seasoned engineer I welcome the opportunity to lend my skills and knowledge to the company, as well as increase my knowledge of newly introduced technologies. If you need any additional information regarding my credentials, I can be reached by email.
Thank you for your time and consideration.
Sincerely,
James E. Ezuruonye
