M.TECH PROJECT

Modification of polypropylene using glass fiber and nanoclay (Dept. of Polymer Science and Rubber Technology of Cochin university of Science and Technology, Kalamassery). PP/Glass fibre, PP/nanoclay, PP/glass fiber/nanoclay hybrid composites were prepared by melt mixing in Haake rheocord. The required samples for the various tests were prepared by injection moulding. Mechanical tests (tensile, impact, hardness), melt flow index, and thermo gravimetric analysis of the composites were done and properties were studied.
