UNDERGRADUATE PROJECT:

1.Design and fabrication of stir casting

Aim: To enhance safety, simplicity and cost effective, Stir Casting was designed and fabricated using electrical resistance instead of combustion of fossil fuel.

Abstract: A miniature of stir casting equipment is designed and fabricated to calculate the energy, time consumed for the given quantity of aluminium. Thermocouple is added to monitor the temperature of the molten metal. By monitoring the temperature continuously, time consumption and the energy is reduced considerably, thereby increasing the efficiency.

I have learnt that this is one of the efficient ways of producing alloys in smaller quantities.

2.DETECTION OF PARALLELISM ON TRACTOR CLUTCH

Aim: To enhance safety, life warranty, and comfort for the customer to operate the clutch in the automobile industry.

Abstract: The parallelism is caused by the variation of pad thickness in the driven plate. The variation of the thickness is caused by several factors like materials, process, or even in machine. These parallelism error is identified and eliminated by using the Total Quality Management system. To analysis, reduce the parallelism effect we have used 6-sigma process. The 6-sigma process of DMAIC were used to analysis and identify the problem of parallelism.

3.THERMAL ANALYSIS ON ALUMINIUM HYBRID METAL MATRIX COMPOSITE FOR AUTOMOBILE APPLICATION

Aim: To produce the light weight and high impact strength for the wheel rim also ensure to increase the wear strength.

Abstract: This project deals with experimental investigation on mechanical, thermal, and corrosion properties of wheel rim with alloy of Al 6061. This project deals with experimental investigation on mechanical, thermal, and corrosion properties of wheel rim with alloy of Al 6061, and thereby to compare the strength with the existing material.
