Service Support Technician, IBM Oct 1997 - Sept 2019
I got hired for my mechanical background to work on their 40 ft check sorters.I caught on quickly and became a
support person for that product.I then got trained on Large Systems.I got a freon certificate and attended a
mainframe school in which I became very proficient .I then attended numerous other schools such as tape drives,
tape libraries,AIX/UNIX,AS 400,DASD,fast T+DS8880.I also serviced multi vendor products such as EMC,HP,NetApp
Lenovo etc.I helped other technicians with installs,upgrades, trouble shooting issues and mentoring.The last year
at IBM I was being trained as a Linux sytem Administrator and completed numerous related training.In September I
was laid off with over a thousand other employees.
Maintenance Technician, Milton Hospital 1983-1997
I maintained all equipment such as boilers,pumps,air handlers,pneumatic controls,valves,compressors and grounds
equipment.I did welding/fabricating,carpentry,painting and some vehicle repair.I left for a better job opportunity
Education -graduated from Braintree High in the top 5 % of my class.I took college courses and shop (auto repair,
woodworking+metal shop)
Navy Jet mechanic School- US Navy I graduated # 1 in my class,honorably discharged
Additional Information-I'm a hard worker with excellent customer skills.I learn quickly and have good common
sense and judgement and a never give up attitude.
