Lid driven Cavity Post GraduateProject
Simulations were done on Ansys 14 taking the case of a lid-driven tall cavity at different aspect ratios. The study was undertaken to infer the significant contributions of the chosen aspect ratio, the fluid in the cavity and the obstacle present in the inner cavity which is under constant heat flux in effective;y influencing the flow direction and heat exchange in the cavity subjcetd to corrugation and no corrugation . Richardson number was used to quantify effects in natural, mixed and forced convection.

Preparation and characterization of an asymmetric polymeric membrane using ceramic as an additive to improve its functional properties. polysulfone and different additive concentrations of feldspar were used and the membrane was prepared by the technique of phase inversion. The pre and post effluent analysis data were taken and a detailed comparison was done to measure the effectiveness of the lab-scale module. The cost analysis was conducted on the prepared membrane.
WORK EXPERIENCE
Nov 2015-16 The Kerala Minerals and Metals Ltd, Chavara, Kollam, Kerala Had undergone training in different sections of the company comprising of five major plants and its subsidiaries, R&D and Plant Technical Service. Involved in R&D projects such as pigment quality improvement study, new hydrophobic grade development for plastic applications and new product development such as aqueous pigment slurry. Acquired hands-on experience with particle size analyzer, atomic absorption spectrometer and various lab-scale equipment. Involved in formulating the new test methods to examine titanium pigment durability and other functional properties and acquired knowledge on the end-user applications of the white pigment. Assisted in-plant technical service in troubleshooting process equipment, P & ID revision and SOP analysis. Dec 2013 Tuticorin Thermal Power Station (TNEB)
Had undergone in-plant training in the plant and got acquainted with the relevant aspects of power generation from coal and lab-scale analysis of coal.The training was mainly focused on the mineral separation unit of the plant .
