Linde Engineering Tulsa is the primary location focusing on technology, engineering, procurement, and construction of standard natural gas processing plants, amine treating plants, and condensate stabilizers generally for 200MMSCFD natural gas processing plants. Technologies include GSP, RSV, ROC®, and CRYO-PLUS™. The fabrication facility located in Port of Catoosa fabricates gas processing plant vessels and modules including structural members, piping assembly, and instrument installation.

DIRECTOR OF ENGINEERING

Responsible for engineering operations covering detail design disciplines including proposing and defining the Work Methodology for the engineering execution. Personal involvement in hiring, training, developing, and appraising staff effectively including taking corrective action as necessary on a timely basis. Managed a department of up to 35 personnel including hiring of ten design and engineering personnel. Participated in interviews and hiring of summer interns. Responsible for assigning the Discipline Engineers in cooperation with Executive Management and Business Unit Managers. ENGINEERING MANAGER

In a “doer/seller” role, developed business in the midstream industry for design and engineering services. Utilized business development skills to cross-sell Stantec services in the areas of environmental, rail, terminals, and mechanical integrity. Worked as project manager on the due diligence for the purchase of a 6,000 mile interstate pipeline system to review pipeline and facility integrity and regulatory compliance. Consulting included expert witness and dispute support as well as strategic consulting and advisory services for energy related projects. Responsible for midstream business development for the firm. Prepared expert reports related to litigation involving pipelines and gas processing plant construction. An expert report was prepared to provide “Industry Standard” and “Recognized and Generally Acceptable Engineering Practices” (RAGAGEP) for the construction of gas processing plants. Served as Independent Engineer for the analysis of gas-to-liquids (GTL) plant proposals. Also, evaluated the feasibility of two GTL projects, including technical and technology assessment, review of project schedule, and analysis of capital, operating, and maintenance costs. For a client evaluating drilling in western Oklahoma provided a review of NGL and condensate pipeline takeaway capacity. Additional projects included Independent Engineer for a biomass-to-urea project, review of gas gathering systems for a potential purchaser, evaluation of mechanical integrity for an oil pipeline reversal, and technical due diligence for the design of a 2.0 BCFD straddle plant in Oklahoma.

Converted ARCO’s concept of a gas-to-liquids process first to paper and then to an operating demonstration plant in 18 months, with minimal staff. Engineered a highly successful 1 -year operation of the pilot plant, completing all research objectives and exceeding performance expectations. Prepared computer-based process simulations for ARCO’s process to convert natural gas to liquid hydrocarbon. Selected as Project Controller responsible for Cost Estimate compilation, Travel Execution Plan, and Monthly Cost Analysis of pilot plant project that was completed below $18 million budget. Performed process design, start-up, and operation, including process formulation and equipment specifications.

Became the Professional Gas Marketing Representative for marketed gas produced from the Gulf Coast, Gulf of Mexico, West Texas, Rocky Mountains, and Michigan areas, including securing the connection of new wells to pipelines (onshore and offshore) and negotiated gas sales to pipeline companies and gas processing plants. Then became the Manager, Gas Supply and Transportation. Managed five professionals, contract analysts, and administrative personnel in the areas of gas gathering, treating, processing, purchase, transportation, and contract administration. Supervised gas transportation for 180 million cubic feet per day, including 200 contracts, 92 pipelines, and $1 million per month transportation expense, including the conversion to FERC Order 636 transportation contracts. Directed the contract negotiations and administration of gas sales contracts for 70 billion cubic feet of natural gas sales ($123 million per year).
