2004- 2010 full time and 2013-Oct 2017 as PRN staff RN St Louis University Hospital Level I Trauma ER-Stroke Center, teaching facility, worked closely with military CSTARS training soldiers to treat trauma overseas.

2010-2016 Veterans Affairs John Cochran Medical Center-ER

May 2016-October 2017 Blessing Hospital, Quincy, Illinois. ER FNP responsible for duties as provider in triage ensuring CMS core measures are met. Duties as provider in fast care included performing minor procedures such as reduction of fractures splinting, suturing, dental blocks, eye exams. `

Oct 2017 to present St. Louis University Affiliate Faculty Emergency Medicine. NP in triage and Clinical Decision Unit (CDU) involved in developing new CDU where extended stay ER patients (chest and abdominal pain, and various other pathology) required workup or observation and care to decide on admission versus discharge. Worked closely with various specialties to coordinate care and follow up. As provider in triage, job duties include medical screening exams, initiating orders for patients waiting to go to ER and fast care for lower acuity patients, eye exams, fracture care, suturing.

February 2017 to present Mercy ER and urgent care. FNP in ER and urgent care at Mercy Lincoln facility in Troy, Missouri. Responsibilities include care of pediatric and adult patients presenting to urgent care or ER. Involved in an ER pilot program where Mercy used telehealth ER physician as collaborating to coordinate care and transfers to their facility in St. Louis.

Military

1990-2012 retired US Air Force Reserve Major-Trauma ER nurse, monitored credentials and education, responsible for deploying medical personnel into zones of conflict, communicated with headquarters to assess need for personnel.
