Performed system tests and analyzed results for the Inflight Entertainment System.
Software Development Engineer Level 3(Senior)
Alcatel-Lucent; Calabasas, Ca 2002 to Mar. 2007
Analyzed Hardware Functional Specifications, developed software tests and documentation to both verify the integrity of the initial hardware design and then later create manufacturing diagnostics for that hardware. This development was done for a chassis based high end router with multiple blades. This project used the MPC8540 chipset on each blade and an assortment of Broadcom and power design chipsets for traffic routing and power.
Developed diagnostic test development guidelines and managed an outsourced software development project based in China. The project was a low-cost router, which used the Freescale MPC8540/1 processor and Broadcom chipsets for routing.
Assisted hardware engineers in the initial bring up and board checkout phase of the design
Participated in code reviews, document reviews to help achieve CMMI level 3 for the division
Software Diagnostic Design Engineer/Member of ASIC Emulator Team
Alcatel; Calabasas, CA 1999 to 2002
Developed scaled down operational software and drivers in C to evaluate the functionality of the MAC/Classifier/Fabric ASIC before tape out
Developed test tools to automate all feature ASIC tests using TCL
Developed Diagnostic manufacturing software test tools to verify the validity of the company's hardware
Certification Test Lead
Act Networks Corp; Calabasas, CA 1997 to 1999
Responsible for writing and implementation of a test plan using a test group of 2-4 people. Developed a working knowledge of the different voice signaling and compression algorithms. Used testing devices such as a bulk call generator.
