DIRECTOR, INFRASTRUCTURE

Oversaw the design and implementation of information systems and associated global IT infrastructure while holding full accountability for maintenance of the entire IT environment. Defined and executed strategies to achieve goals and develop and administer a $1M annual operating budget. Selected managed service providers (MSP), advising on new network hardware and software frameworks. Drove compliance with software licensing and regulatory guidelines. Lead process and performance improvement by developing technology automation and related processes, overseeing service improvement, and managing all phases of projects and programs.

Captured $65K in annual savings by migrating datacenter physical servers to VMware, eliminating legacy hardware and corresponding third-party warranties, and moving from a co-location hosted data center to an onsite facility.

Identified an effectively non-existent back up process and implemented a cloud backup solution that captured virtual copies of the server and syncs, replacing backup SANs and tape libraries; efforts significantly reduced operating risk by working with vendors to identify solutions, manage hardware acquisition and server allocation, and direct testing and verification efforts.

Implemented a new Cisco VPN Remote Access solution, encompassing computer posturing and two-factor authentication, ensuring alignment with HR remote work policies; procured and configured a Cisco ASA firewall with AnyConnect which made the network more secure through additional authentication protocols.

Designed a new Active Directory (AD) infrastructure, supporting the migration of all offices worldwide (five offices on four global networks), ensuring a cohesive network that could readily communicate without impediment.
