EXPERIENCE
AutoCAD & Inventor (Versions 2017 – 2020)
Recreating wiring schematics, creating full part and assembly projects with animations files and informative blueprints, and renewing old projects from schematics or dated files. Examples of performed projects include an arbor press, die press, sterling engine, and 3d printer nozzle.
Siemens S7 PLCS
Ladder logic, open-safe design, open and closed-loop control, work with memory bits, timers, pulse timers, counters, and comparator logic. Projects included motor starters, pump control via incremental floats, and traffic lights. Process control project consisted of wiring a VFD, Magmeter, various buttons and signal lights, solenoid valve, and ultrasonic level sensor to PLC, to control and monitor a closed flow-level system in accordance with tuning rules (Cohen-Coon, IMC, etc.)
Arduino Programming
Learning through Sunfounder examples, accomplishing team projects consisting of a functional thermostat, decimal to binary translator via LEDs, forward/reverse dc motor control, and a small oven capable of reaching 150 degrees C.
Hydraulics & Pneumatics
Theory for pressure and fluid dynamics, creating hydraulic and pneumatic schematics in Automation Studio and then building the schematic using a training panel, exposure to various valves, pistons, and pumps along with their symbols.
SKILLS & ADDITIONAL EXPERIENCE
-Familiarity with 2018 Canadian Electrical Codebook (House, Apartment, Hospital wiring)
-To-code wiring practices for low voltage wiring and wiring motors
-Programming motor drives (Pentadrive, Siemens Micromaster 420, Powerflex 520)
-Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Projects)
