Primary duties consist of new process development in machining close tolerance ( .00025) product in a fast paced job shop atmosphere on C.N.C. Lathes, Mills, and Swiss type machines. Programming, tooling selection & testing, training of programmers & operators, optimization of available machine time, and ensuring quality are all part of daily activities. In conjunction with this I also review past processes (performed by outside vendors), create in-process drawings using a C.A.D. system, prepare R.F.Q's, purchase raw material and tooling, and have direct contact with customers and vendors to confirm order status. This is a very hands on position in a start-up department of a facility that has only done finishing operations in the past, as to provide the customer with a "one stop shop" for better process control and less lead-time. 11/94 to 11/01
