Independent Projects
DC to DC Buck Converter December 2018 - January 2019
• designed a 12 [v] input to a 5 [v] output circuit using the basic circuit model for a buck converter
• The TIP31C Power transistor was used as a switch at a duty cycle of 30%
• Incorporated the 1N5817 diode to let current flow properly when the switch is open
• A 120 uH inductor was used to impede the current from the capacitor discharging
• A 1000 uF was used to slowly discharge the output load Electric
Longboard March 2018 –June 2018
• Attached two 6355/190KV motors to two separate Electronic Speed Controllers (ESC)
• Connected two ESC and a dual anti-spark switch to a 10s4p battery
• Researched how to connect pins from ESC to a Bluetooth receiver
• Coordinated with a partner to configure the ESC
