Areas of Expertise:

DESIGN: Responsible for designing Hydraulic systems for high pressure power units in the Aerospace, Oil and Gas, and Automation sectors. Responsibilities included creating GD&T fabrication drawings and processes for manufacturing, designing hydraulic P&ID schematics, and constructing HMI controls to regulate and operate the system.

APPLICATIONS: Establish relationships with technical customers by evaluating production of the customer’s specific requests. Helping the customer design a power unit system that will work for their application. This includes determining exactly how much power they require, the voltage that will need to be provided, and a specific control system so that they can operate the unit however they want.

This also includes being the middleman between the customer and the manufacturing technicians on the shop floor so that I can relay progress updates, or setbacks directly to the customer.

CONTROLS: Experience selecting specific electronic sensitive components needed for a customer’s power unit. Determining the most efficient pump and motor combination for the horsepower needed, selecting a VFD controller for the pump, selecting pressure, temperature, and level transducers. I have experience not only selecting the components but tying them into the customers PLC so that they can monitor the input data.

Responsible for designing Hydraulic systems for high pressure power units for the Oil and Gas, and Aerospace industry. Managed multiple projects involving coordination with the customer to help design a hydraulic power unit that would benefit the client’s system. Tasks included determining a BOM, modeling a full assembly and fabrication drawings using SolidWorks, and creating a P&ID schematic. Also performed in house Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) for every unit in front of the customer to explain and show how to operate the unit.

Mechanical Engineer (Full Time) February 2015 - November 2017

Johnson Controls, Richardson TX

Responsible for product development in the HVAC industry within Johnson Controls.

Job duties included designing new products with cutting edge technology such as designing and constructing a main PLC that would control various motors. Create fabrication drawings for the new products and preforming pre-design production builds to test and record air flow data using the new HVAC units. This job involved CFM air flow testing and heat dissipation tests which was recorded using MATLAB.

Field Engineer (Full Time) November 2014 – February 2015

GoFrac LLC, Fort Worth TX

Field Engineer regulating and adjusting hydraulic pressure lines out on the site location. Heavy use of ANSYS and other fluid design software programs. Worked on a Frac site with customers working together in teams to obtain oil out of oil wells. Job consisted of intense hands on applications with heavy machinery.

Field Service Engineer (Internship) May 2013 – August 2013

Responsibilities include promptly resolving fiber optic connection issues, setting up and laying fiber within new developments and, splicing and connecting old fiber connections to new connections. Main duty was to preform extensive troubleshooting on optical relays when a connection line goes down. Manage time effectively when optical lines went down that required troubleshooting.
