I have worked with many companies as a completion’s consultant and as Advisor for 3 different companies on 3 different continents. I am a self-motivated focused professional seeking to leverage my significant experience and training as an oil and gas Completions, Abandonments and Production professional. I am detail-oriented and highly organized individual who exemplifies professionalism, and an ability to manage multiple projects and tasks at any given moment.

I have a demonstrated history of successful site supervision and project management across a variety of well life operations. My leadership qualities allow me to work with individuals from varying backgrounds, while promoting team values. I am a driven partner eager to apply my extensive experience in a challenging environment. Working in the Canadian/International market for 33 years has enabled me to develop multiple disciplines in heavy oil, including cyclical steam injection as well as chemical and horizontal multi-well injection, both sweet and sour in Canada’s Oil Sands, deep sour gas (H2S) up to 4500 meters, sweet gas, light crude, and CBM extraction. Along with the variety of oil and gas experience, I have focused my experience in Abandonments, Completions, and Production.

Essar, India Production and Operations Manager 2014 ~ 2015 Having advised for this company in the past I had an intricate knowledge of the operation from all departments. The advice given in the past had not been implemented. A restructuring of the company was done and I was brought in as the Production and Operations Manager. I was tasked with the daily Engineering of new well Completions, HF, Workovers, Project Costing, Production, and the development of field operations training. In conjunction with my team, we were able to reduce operational costs, decrease initial well completions from 7 days down to 2 days, decrease Work over time from 25% down to 9%, and increase production over 93% from the previous year.

Advisor for Fracturing Completions and Production 2014 ~ 2014.

I was retained as an Advisor to a new start-up company wanting to get into the CBM market in Indonesia. My main responsibility’s where to advise what equipment would be needed, manpower for both field and office personnel, programs for Completions and Production, Commissioning of new Drilling rigs, and costing for operations development.

Advisor for Drilling Fracturing Completions and Production 2013 ~ 2014

I was asked to intervene and review the Operations of Drilling, Completion and Production. Recommended many changes in multi-lateral and vertical well Drilling and Completion programs and procedures. Helped implement SOGC first horizontal well completion with an innovative ESPCP application. Wrote well programs for both Completions of new Horizontal and Vertical wells and Production procedures.

Essar, India

Advisor for Fracturing Completions Workovers and Production 2010 ~ 2012

I was involved with Essar India and was contracted as an Advisor to various groups including Hydro Fracturing, New Well Completions, Workovers and Production all within the field in Durgapur India. My position involves the development of the Hydro-fracturing programs and implementation of proper downhole PCP/ESP and ESPCP selections for the different wellbore applications. I was in the development stages of well design for Hz applications with Drilling in conjunction with the Engineering teams, Geology and HF. I am responsible for helping implement best world practices for HSE and help implement an ERP manual.

Penn West Energy, Canada

Superintendent Well Operations and Completions 2001 ~ 2009

My job duties included managing a field and all the daily operations, from new well completions (wellhead installation, fracturing, logging, and pump installation if needed.) Existing well Workovers (Acid mitigation, tubing and rod issues, fishing operations.) This was for the first three years at Penn West.

For the next six years, I was a superintendent of Well abandonments, Part of a Corporate team tasked with day to day operations in conjunction with the Completions and Environmental group, doing both long term suspensions as well as full Well Bore abandonments. I was responsible for the coordination of field personal ensuring regulatory as well as safety requirements where met in both Rigged and Rig-Less operations. In that six-year period we abandon hundreds of wells as a team. Each superintendent supervised up to 12 service rigs (or rig-less) on any given day. I helped streamline abandonment costs and worked closely with the board regarding all rules and regulations. My position in that six-year period has given me the opportunity to participate in many high-level training courses in areas important to the oil industry such as QSSE, Compliance, Business Development, Accounting / Procurement, Conflict Resolutions, Service orientated courses in Fracturing, New Completion Techniques, Down Hole Tools, Wireline, Fishing, and Testing …..Just to list a few
