Network Security Consultant

Worked with a customer to troubleshoot and repair several issues within their Azure/Palo Alto VM series firewall environment.

Fixed a routing issue within their User Define Routes (UDRs).

Found solutions to their Palo Alto firewalls having no access to updates or DNS resolution.

Worked with a Telehealth customer to set up a Prisma Access Proof of Concept (PoC).

Assisted client with upgrading 60 End of Life (EOL) Palo Alto, SonicWall, and Checkpoint firewalls to Palo Alto PA-820’s.

Completed migration from current Panorama to a newly built Panorama on M-200’s.

Supported with hardening and justification of firewall rules, and standardization of all objects.

Tasked with difficult networking issues where the client needed my assistance to troubleshoot their site networks for the replacement firewalls to be installed.

Infrastructure Manager/Systems Administrator

Tasked with resolving a remote site connectivity issue for a plant with locations in Mississippi and Alabama.

Repaired (3) remote sites, which (2) of them were connecting via a RuggedCom RX1400 over Verizon cellular connections via a VPN back to an RX1400 at the control room to monitor remote H2S well sites. The third site was running on a modem over a fiber connection on a Siemens Scalance S615 router which wasn’t connecting to the RX1400 via VPN. Worked for 3 days troubleshooting this issue that Siemens had worked with our company on for three months prior to my travelling to Mississippi to troubleshoot the issue. It was found that the issue was due to the RX1400 only having IKEv1 for VPN connectivity and the Siemens Scalance S615 being on IKEv2. This was resolved, and the VPN never failed again.

Completed domain migration for the Friendswood Volunteer Fire Department

Migrated Server 2003 domain controllers to Server 2016, File Shares and permissions, print server, SQL database migration for FireHouse and CAD monitor software, installation of new FireHouse, FireHouse connection manager, and CAD monitor software on application server, IIS for FHWeb application remote use, SMTP for scan to email function from Ricoh printer, Azure AD cloud sync with local AD using Azure AD sync tool.

Worked with internal security team to implement NIST ICS standards such as 800-53, 800-82, and 800-40 for their SCADA and automation networks.

Worked with security team to implement IEC 62443 standard for SCADA ICS devices within their customer environments.

Configured Group Policy Objects for all company devices to comply with DoD requirements for security.
