Duties include selling textiles and finished garments to California garment manufacturers from overseas mills, primarily China.
Pacesetter Fabrics, Inc. 2006-2008
Created a knitting division for both import and domestic knits. Responsibilities included the approval and purchase of greige goods and dyed goods, buying yarn, knitting and dyeing locally. All goods had to pass strict quality control measures including knitting the correct size yarn on the proper gauge knitting machine with the correct cylinder size and matching stitch count, dyeing with appropriate dyestuffs to pass all reactive, crocking, and colorfast requirements, and finishing at the proper weight and width to achieve minimal shrinkage and torque percentages possible.

Responsibilities included organization of sales, marketing, and the development of all textile fabrics produced by our mills including pricing, delivery, customer relations, and an overall direct involvement of costs, profitability, and inventories. This also included overseeing all quality control matters starting with yarn quality to knit/greige approval and then dyeing and finishing approval.
Salary: My salary has ranged from $150,000 - $350,000 annually.
