Work Experience
2014 - PhD. Research Assistant University of South Carolina 2018 Columbia, SC
Performed statistical modeling on stroke patients with brain damage explaining 30:0% of the variance of sensori-motor behavioral met- rics. She performed data collection and brain mapping, and ana- lyzed MRI data and modeling using MATLAB scripts. She presented the results in two conferences and the resulting publication is un- der edition. Data collection was performed using robotic assessment devices. She conducted a research survey on clinical data quality metrics and health outcomes on stroke patient population. 2016 - Teaching Assistant University of South Carolina 2018 Columbia, SC
Instructed four semesters of undergraduate Anatomy and Physiol- ogy classes each supporting 120 students. Developed material for lectures, mentored students, and provided research guidance. Side Projects
– Loan Default Classification: Used SVM and KSVM classification techniques on Credit Approval Data-set to predict loan default with 92:0% AUC.
– Punishment Regime Efficacy: Using historical crime data set in US, a model was built to predict crime rate using environmental, social, and economical predictors. The linear regression model was able to predict the crime rate by R 2
of 0:7.
– E-commerce Recommendation System: Implemented pairwise association rule mining algorithm using Python on E-commerce basket data. Skills
– Machine learning, statistical modelling, statistical tests, experimentation design, survey design and data acquisition.
– (Python) matplotlib, pandas, numpy, scipy, sklearn, re
– (R) ggplot2, mlr, kernlab
– (Soft Skills) Communication, problem solving, time management, project man- agement, Independence, team-work
