Seattle Children’s Hospital-Cancer Care Unit, Seattle, WA Staff nurse responsibilities included the care of both BMT patients (from infancy through the age of 25) as well as patients with all other hematology/oncology diagnoses. Specific responsibilities included educating patients and their caregivers about their disease and treatments, chemotherapy infusions, blood product infusions and dealing with the specific needs and complications this population incurred.
