I have done Masters Degree in Orthopaedics - DNB(Orthopaedics) given by National Board of Examination (Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Govt. Of India) in March 2018 (Cleared in First Attempt) from North DMC Medical college and Hindu Rao Hospital, Delhi, which is a Superseciality Hospital situated in North Delhi having heavy Load of Patients from all Parts of India . Hindu Rao Hospital is 1100 bedded hospital (the largest amongst MCD hospitals in Delhi) with 90 beds allotted for Orthopaedics. The Department is accredited with DNB, and admits 4 candidates every year for Post Graduation training. It’s a referral centre for North Delhi. North DMC Medical College is attached to this hospital. Here I am doing all types of fresh and complex skeleton trauma, deformity correction,soft tissue procedures Joint Relacement surgeries and Arthroscopy.

Trained in Spine and Plastic surgery at VMMC and Safdarjung Hospital, Delhi. As a part of my peripheral posting under DNB curriculum for 2 months.

These hospitals has a very strong Academic Workup and in 3 Yrs of my Post graduate Residency Programme I developed deep interest in Arthroscopy, Joint Replacement Surgeries, along with most Complex Trauma Surgeries.

I am very grateful to this Institutes where I learnt the Principles and Essentials of Orthopaedic Practice along with expert Patient care.

Professional work experience –

PERIOD: feb 2020 till date- working as registrar/ fellowship in joint replacement surgery at sparsh hospital banglore, under dr. Sharan shivaraj patil for joint replacement surgery in karnataka where they do almost 800 cases per year which includes both primary and revision surgery. He i used to assist almost all cases as a primary assistant in surgery. This joint center is known for its excellency in field of replacement and recent research works related to it.

PERIOD: May 2018 to feb 2020: Worked as Senior Resident Orthopaedics at North DMC Medical College and Hindu Rao Hospital, delhi 110007. As a Senior Resident I do all kind of trauma cases (fresh, neglected and complex cases) independently in emergency and in elective OTs. There is also a good load of non traumatic cases which I get to do independently and assist senior surgeons in elective OTs in joint replacement and arthroscopic surgery. I have got an active role in teaching DNB residents and MBBS students, along with non academic Junior Residents and Interns posted in the Department. With newly added medical college ( since 2014) the institution is bound to grow in stature.

PERIOD: March 2015 to March 2018 : Worked as DNB Orthopaedic Post-graduate at North DMC Medical College and Hindu Rao Hospital, delhi 110007.

During this period, I have assisted trauma, joint replacement and spine cases to Senior Surgeons Dr. Ashok tyagi, admiral dr.Pawan sarin, dr. Vinod anand, dr. Sanjeev kumar and dr. Ritesh kumar. I also independently performed close reduction and cast application for all kinds of fractures/dislocations, and independent surgeries for trauma including Tension Band Wiring (patella, Malleolus, Olecranon), External Fixator application for temporary stabilization of open fractures, Amputation of limbs at different levels, Fasciotomies for impending compartment syndrome of forearm and leg, intramedullary nailing/plating of long bones

(femur,tibia,humerus,radius,ulna), osteosynthesis of hip fractures (DHS/ DCS plating/ CCscrew). I have also independently performed unipolar and bipolar hemireplacement hip sugeries there.

PERIOD: JANUARY 2015 to March 2015 : Worked as Junior resident in department of emergency medicine in All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi .

At present We have been treating -

~All types of fresh and as well as old and difficult and most neglected and complex intrarticular and Periarticular skeletal trauma.

~Assisting all types of Primary Replacement surgeries of Hip and Knee

~All Types of Paediatric Soft tissue and Bony, Tendon transfers, Neglected trauma and Deformity correction by various methods(Illizarov, JESS, systems)

Teaching experience :-

Teaching medical students on the wards; assess learning needs, locate suitable clinical cases, and demonstrate logical examination technique.

Conducted formal teaching sessions for medical students (M.B.B.S. undergraduates and D.N.B. residents)
