Project: Effect of Geotextile Reinforced Flexible Pavement-A Case Study Objective: To study the present situation, problems of Kurunthodi- vadakara road and check the suitability of application of geotextile with flexible pavement. Description: Geotextile is one of the largest group of geosynthetic materials. They are indeed textiles in the traditional sense, but consist of synthetic fibers rather than natural ones such as cotton, wool, jute etc.. By our project, placing of geotexile between different construction layers maintains the permeability and thus increases CBR value of subgrade and bearing capacity of the road.
